So why do we call it peel season, and why is everyone so excited for it? It’s because in skincare, the autumn months are considered the ideal time of year for deeper exfoliation.
During these later months we have less sun exposure to contend with. It also comes before the harsh winter months when skin can become too dry or compromised for a peel.

This is normal. The neck skin or other non-facial areas usually don’t experience as much peeling skin.

By day six or seven the peeling process should be mostly complete (especially for facial skin).
You’ll want to avoid any forms of exfoliation at home for the next 4-5 days, which includes scrubs, retinol, and AHA/BHAs.
