Lines and deep wrinkles in the face are caused by contractions of the delicate underlying facial muscles when you smile, laugh, or frown. Over time, fine lines you see with expression become etched in. Botulinum toxin is a purified protein derivative that can effectively minimize, prevent, and reverse many of the lines. We use them between your eyebrows, across your forehead, and around your eyes. They also help in places you wouldn’t necessarily think about – like to reduce chin dimples, lessen lines around the mouth, enhance your lips without filler, sharpen your jawline, slim your lower face, raise the corners of the mouth, correct a gummy smile, smooth neck lines, and reduce excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis).

We use hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers to define, sculpt, replace lost volume, and reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. Fillers range in thickness, sturdiness, softness and malleability. We choose what we’ll use based on your anatomy and what we’re trying to accomplish. Here’s a general breakdown of where specific fillers work best:

I consider HA fillers to be the safest, because they’re totally reversible. The best way to learn what would work best for you is by coming in for a consultation. Sometimes, we’ll need to mix and match products for best results. We might use a needle or a cannula. A cannula is a blunt tip needle that can help lessen the risk of bruising. It’s useful in specific areas of the face. If you do get bruising, it should fade over a week.
THE FAT MELTER
KYBELLA®
KYBELLA is the first and only FDA-approved injectable treatment to reduce fat under the chin, also known as a double chin. We can also use it on other fat pockets, like bra fat, lower belly fat, and love handles. It’s an enzyme that’s similar to what your liver makes to break down fat. The best part? It’s permanent. Once the fat cells are destroyed, they don’t come back. The number of treatments needed varies by patient.
